After languishing for nearly a decade the Laboratory is receiving a major renovation. It was originally produced and then maintained in dark personal times. While my imagination is still more full of monsters than winged kittens, I don't have quite the pathos to sustain a site dedicated to a fantasy world of relentlessly horrible, if often funny, things. The creative team has also received a transfusion or two of new (if not sacrificial virgin) blood. So we're going to try something exciting, bold and new . . . but still full of monsters . . .
The Lab always existed in a liminal world . . . and it turns out that world is bigger than anyone realized. In fact, there are dozen of worlds that sit on Edge to our own, each with their own stories, and their own monsters.
We still expect to be chuckling when the Long Night starts.
